But what happens when a VITAL part of your beloved laserdisc player breaks and there are no longer any replacement parts available from the manufacturer or distributors? That's where LaserParts comes in.

It all started with my Mitsubishi M-V7057, a clone of the beloved Pioneer CLD-D704 needing a replacement grip ring. The grip ring is vital to the spindle motor being able to grip and spin the laserdisc at the proper RPM. With a little bit of research online, I found countless forum posts about DIY solutions that seemed unreliable, messy, or potentially hazardous to the function of the player. Since the authentic part was no longer available, and new old stock replacements were becoming increasingly unreliable, I set out to make a quality aftermarket replacement myself.

After lots of R&D, I finally found a commercial material suitable for making replacements and began hand cutting, then precision CNC cutting replacements.

From there I set about adding to the catalog of replacement parts, many of which are currently in development. For all my parts, I start with precise measurements, accurate CAD designs, and high quality CNC machined or 3D printed solutions to keep your players spinning!
